Job description:

  • Technical lead of safety-critical software development for automotive control units 
  • Define and design automotive software architecture for safety-critical software in collaboration with systems-, hardware- and software engineers
  • Development of requirements for safety-critical embedded software systems
  • Review of requirements and software architecture for safety-critical software 
  • Definition of verification and validation activities for safety-critical software
  • Guidance of the software team to follow safety related processes 
  • Proactive handling of support activities in the context of safety-critical software development, like e.g. tool classification and qualification 
  • Communication with Customer
  • Collaborate with other software architects to manage complex embedded systems
  • Definition and improvement of development processes for safety-critical software

Required Skills:

  • You have finished your studies of computer science, electrical or electronic engineering or any other comparable academic studies
  • You have minimum 10 years of industrial experience in Safety complaint ECU development (System and Software)
  • You have expert knowledge regarding safety standards for E/E systems, ideally ISO 26262
  • You have a strong expertise in C/C++ programming including low level programming of microcontrollers
  • You have a good understanding of AUTOSAR platform
  • You have experience in conducting software safety analysis (Software FMEA/FDA, Dependent Failure Analysis)
  • You have good knowledge regarding SW development processes required to comply with safety standards, like e.g., ISO 26262
  • You have extensive experience with the development of software for safety-critical real time embedded systems 
  •  Your written and spoken English is excellent, knowledge of German is beneficial

Job description:

• Analysis of system architecture, hardware and embedded software for fulfilment of cybersecurity requirements through methods like TARA
• Define & develop methods and processes in the field of automotive cyber security
• Functional check of security-relevant software components
• Systematic implementation of penetration tests for the latest technologies like autonomous driving, over-the-air updates etc..
• Design and implementation of targeted attacks on Systems to validate effectiveness of cyber security mechanism
• Setup and execute automated tests
• Technical discussion with Customer and Supplier for security relevant topics

Required Skills

• You have finished your studies of computer science, electrical or electronic engineering or any other comparable academic studies
• Master’s thesis on cyber security or relevant work experience in the automotive, aerospace industries or similar industries with high cyber security
standards are a big plus
• Professional experience in dealing with UNECEWP.29, ISO / SAE 21434 or IEC 62443 in framework of the development of embedded systems is an added
advantage
• In-depth knowledge of the following topics: security methods and processes, automotive bus systems, cryptographic methods and protocols
